Cox Returns For A Second Season
#67 James Cox signs for another year with Thunder
Please give a huge Thunder welcome back to #67 James Cox!
Hailing from Ontario, CAN – the popular defenceman joined Thunder part way through the 22/23 season recording 4 points in 19 games. James (28) has also represented the Nottingham University team for the past 3 years, acting as Captain for 2 seasons and recording 33 points in 39 games. He will be looking forward to linking back up with new Head Coach Will Fry who had the following to say about securing James’ signature:
“I’ve had the privilege to work with James for a long period of time now and we’re delighted to be bringing him back to Milton Keynes for another season. Coxy has a superb hockey brain, and his work ethic is second to none – combined with his leadership skills, he will not only play a significant role for us on the ice, but will provide strong mentorship and support for our younger players and prospects.”
“His knowledge of how I like my teams to play will be crucial in the early parts of the season as we get everyone up to speed. I don’t think Thunder fans have seen the best of James yet and I’m personally very excited to see him thrive at this level like I know he can!”
James, when asked about returning commented:
“It was an easy decision for me to come back, despite last season not being the best performance wise I had a great time and I think we’ve started building a great core here. Now I know a bit more about what to expect from the league, I’ll be back ready to go and excited to be part of the journey our club is about to go on”
Coxy’s Jersey’s are now both Owned & Loaned, thanks to Coral M for supporting James for the upcoming season!
