Milton Keynes Thunder are delighted to welcome back #6 Cole McCluskey for another season with the club.

Cole is a product of the MK junior system and made his debut for Thunder back in the 21/22 season as a 16 year old. Since then he has developed into a key member of the roster, appearing in 26 games last season and scoring 9 points.

Cole is looking forward to pulling on the teal again next year:

I can’t wait to be back for Thunder again next season. I am going to give everything I’ve got to the team and will look to bring in some big points. It’s an exciting time for the team and it will be great to see how much the new signings can help us become a more competitive team

I believe Will can bring exciting hockey to the team and help the young players improve a lot

Head Coach Will Fry considers Cole an important part of his plans:

Cole has a lot of potential. His technical foundation is at a good level and I’m hoping that we can push him on a little bit next season and increase his point production to a level that matches the effort and performance he brings.

We’re putting together a motivated and competitive young roster that we hope will strengthen our position in the short term and grow together over the next few years into a really competitive team – Cole is a prime example of that, he’s been around the team for a couple of seasons now as a ‘prospect’ player and I’m confident in his ability to step forward into a more senior role not only on the ice but supporting the other young players coming through around him.

A huge welcome back to Cole, another great example of the club’s vision of developing young local talent and offering the opportunity to continue their careers at senior level. We look forward to seeing where the next season takes you and know that you will be a popular member of the roster both within the room and amongst fans alike.
