Davies Extends With Thunder

Forward Elliott Davies returns to Thunder after an impressive first season.

Thunder are delighted to welcome back #11 Elliott Davies for another year in teal. The 25 year old Forward joined the club at the start of the 24/25 season after an extended period away from the game and quickly found his feet as a reliable option registering 5 points over the course of the season.

A popular member of the changing room, Elliott started his career in Haringey before a spell in Canada and a season with Raiders 2 in NIHL 1 during the 19/20 season. After impressing on the ice, Elliott was also rewarded with an A when cover was needed as the season progressed.

Elliott is already looking forward to another year in Milton Keynes:

I’m buzzing to get back to it with the team, we have a great group here & I’m expecting big things this season in a division where we will be right there come the end of it if we continue to work hard and apply ourselves in the right way.

Head Coach Will Fry’s thoughts on Elliott’s return:

Elliott came to us last summer looking to return to the game after a period out, and whilst it took him some time to find his feet again early in the season his application and attitude was there immediately and he quickly became a pivotal figure in our dressing room. As the season progressed he really demonstrated his capabilities. Unfortunately he had to miss a short period due to work commitments and it probably set him back a little bit more than he would have liked otherwise I think we would have seen a terrific output from him during the run in. We’re really pleased that he has agreed to come back and we’re all excited to see how his talent shines in NIHL 2.

Elliott’s Home & Away jerseys are available for Own and Loan now, at a cost of £80 each. Please email mkthundericehockey@gmail.com to reserve yours.
