Thunder are delighted to welcome our first new face for the 2024-25 season, #11 Elliott Davies.

Elliott joins as a free agent, returning after a few seasons away from the NIHL having previously iced for Raiders 2 in the 2019-20 NIHL 1S season. Elliott had a strong junior career, primarily with Haringey with stints at Chelmsford and a season abroad in Canada at the OHA in 2017.

Head Coach Will Fry was impressed with Elliott during our trials in April, and is looking forward to getting him up to speed ahead of the upcoming season; “We’ve been looking to bolster our attacking options and Elliott stood out to me over the course of our trials, his determination around the net and willingness to do the dirty work will bring a lot to our arsenal and provide something to our squad that I think has been missing. Obviously he’s been out of the game for a little while but he’s still very young and having spoken to him he’s clearly driven to improve on where he left off. He is another example of the ideal player we want to bring in – a solid technical foundation and motivated to improve, for me this is a signing that will be a great fit for everyone involved and I look forward to watching Elliott grow as the season progresses.”

Elliott is raring to jump back into senior hockey with Thunder:

“After having a few seasons out , I can’t wait to get back to it in September. I look forward to working with the coaches and all the guys this year and I’m excited to see what we can achieve.”

It’s always thrilling to bring a new face to Thunder, and we’re all excited to give Elliott a proper welcome when the season begins later this year.
