Stevens to continue development with Thunder

Nottingham trained defenseman joins Thunder to continue development.

Welcome to Thunder 16 year old Defenceman #51 Leland Stevens. The Peterborough based, Nottingham trained junior will join Thunder for the upcoming season to continue his development and gain experience with a senior team for the first time. As well as his time with Nottingham, Stevens has also represented Team Richardson at the U15 Showcase event, and was selected to play for England U16’s in 2023 where he appeared in 4 games, recording 1 point.

Leland is excited to join the Thunder roster for the year ahead.

I am really happy to have the opportunity to play for Thunder this season and contribute towards the team in any way I can.

Head Coach Will Fry on Leland’s selection:

We’re looking forward to having Leland with us. He reached out looking for somewhere to continue his development and gain exposure to a higher level in an environment where he felt comfortable and motivated. After speaking to former coaches and those who know him, we’ve made the decision to bring him into our ranks and give him a platform to be the best version of himself. There is clearly potential there and hopefully with support from our coaching staff, and guidance from senior players in our roster Leland can take his game to another level and grow into a solid and reliable defensive option in the senior system.

Welcome to Milton Keynes Leland!

Leland’s Home and Away jerseys are available now for Own and Loan at £95 each.
