A huge Thunder welcome back to popular defenceman #14 Cal Burr, who has signed to return for another year. The former Bracknell junior made his debut for the club in the 21/22 season. Mobile and agile, Cal is known for remaining calm, and his work rate and effort levels often sneak under the radar.

Cal’s thoughts on heading back to Milton Keynes again next season:

I’m excited to be back at thunder next year. We are improving year on year. With the new additions Will has brought in this year, I’m looking forward and excited to get the season underway.

Head Coach Will Fry had the following to say about Cal’s return:

Cal epitomises what we are looking for across our roster, he’s young, quick, technical and has a fantastic attitude towards hard work. He will be a key part of our defensive core this season and we will be looking to utilise his speed to not only provide some covering comfort to the guys up front, but also to contribute offensively as well.

I know he’s a reliable and consistent individual, we’re hopeful this year that we can bring him out of his shell a little bit and hopefully help him get some recognition around his potential as a player, and attitude and efforts as an individual too
