Welcome back James Bryan
Young defenceman James 'JB' Bryan returns for a second season with Thunder
Another popular member of last years Thunder roster #7 James Bryan returns. Affectionately known as ‘JB’ the 18 year old defenceman’s debut season with Thunder was cut short due to injury. Fit again now it was an easy decision for James to put pen to paper and head back to Milton Keynes for another year:
I really can’t wait to be back at Thunder again next season, as I am excited for what there is to come with it. The new squad is looking strong and I’m excited Will has chosen me to be apart of this. 24/25 is looking to be a good year!
James is a product of the Basingstoke junior system, and made his senior debut in the NIHL 2 South with Basingstoke Buffalo during the 21/22 season. He remained there for 2 years, and iced in 2 National League matches for the Bison before making the journey up the M1 to Milton Keynes for the 23/24 season just gone, where he played 18 games and recorded 2 points.
Thunder Head Coach Will Fry is looking forward to getting James back fit and healthy, ready to play an important role in the team:
JB was unfortunate last season with injury hampering his season. Thankfully, he’s rehabbed well and is back to full strength and motion. We’ll be doing some work to get him back up to speed and I fully expect him to play a big role on the blue line for us this season. He’s a very motivated young man, has good size and technical skill, and will fit well with any partner – giving us a range of options at both ends of the ice.
JB, at 18 years of age, continues our trend of signing talented, young and motivated players ahead of what looks on paper to be a very exciting and dynamic season for Thunder as the rebuild continues under new Head Coach Will.
James’ jerseys are available now for own and loan at £95 each.
