MK Thunder

Welcome: Corey Taylor

MK youngster returns to MK9 to boost Thunder's defensive core!

Continuing our commitment to developing a roster of young Milton Keynes developed talent, Thunder welcome defenseman Corey Taylor back to the club.

Having iced for Thunder in 8 games during the 22/23 season, Corey made the move to Haringey after developing through the junior system in MK. Still only 18 years old Corey has amassed a remarkable amount of senior experience and is well versed with NIHL 2 hockey after making 44 appearances for the Huskies over a 3 year period, as well as one appearance for Chelmsford Chieftains in NIHL 1 last season. Corey also represented Team Longstaff at the EIH U18 Showcase in 2023.

Corey is happy to be back in front of his home fans:

I’m very excited to be back in Milton Keynes to continue my senior career, I’m looking forward to being able to develop and improve whilst surrounded by a familiar set of players in a familiar ice rink.

Head Coach Will Fry added:

Being able to bring Corey back to his home rink is fantastic for us, and testament to the progress we have already made in making this an attractive place for local talent to want to pursue their senior careers and keep learning and growing. Corey will provide a strong backbone to our team, his defensive game is strong and he moves well with the puck as well. It will be great to see him back playing with a number of players he developed chemistry with during his junior career and we will look to draw from the knowledge he has already built of the league during his time in Haringey.

Corey’s Home & Away jerseys are available for Own and Loan now, at a cost of £80 each. Please email mkthundericehockey@gmail.com to reserve yours.
